BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR LOSING HOME

2nd hand rose started this conversation

I HAD BREAST CANCER SURGERY AND IN AUGUST OF 2005 - I WAS/AM ENEMPLOYED AND HAD TO MORTGAGE MY HOME TO PAY MEDICAL EXPENSES AND LIVING EXPENSES.  NOT ONLY DID I MORTGAGE MY HOME BUT I ALSO MAXED MY CREDIT CARDS.  THIS WAS MY MOTHER'S HOME UNTIL SHE SIGNED  IT OVER TO ME.  NOW I AM ABOUT LOSE HER HOME.

MY MONTHLY PAYMENTS ARE $658./MONTH AND CREDIT CARDS TOTAL $4000.  THE MORTGAGE COMPANY ALLOWED ME TO MISS ONE PAYMENT WITHOUT A PENALTY OR LATE CHARGE BUT THAT'S IT.  I HAVE NO FAMILY I CAN COUNT ON BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO HELP.

I am going to lose my home soon.
I just received a foreclosure notice, for $1225. Unfortunately, we do not have the money to pay this. We are also 1 payment away from losing our car and need $640 by Friday to keep our power on. I have 2 children and really need financial help. I am currently looking for a job, but no luck. Everything is going to be a mess next week if we don't get some sort of financial help. We have asked family and friends, but no one can help, as finances seem to be tight everywhere. IF anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. I do plan to "Pay it forward" when we are a little better off financially.

Please if you can help any amount would be greatly appreciated. If you can help click on the PayPal link below and Donate any amount you can. Thank you for reading this and God Bless you and your family.

You're still unemployed from August 2005? I've had two friends undergo surgery for breast cancer. One had a double masectomy and was back working in less than a year. The other had the cancer removed, saved her breasts and was working within a week. Both went through radiation etc. What is your situation that you are still unable to work?

Hi. I'm sorry to hear about your life circumstances. Sometimes I wish the banks would change the business attitude and start worrying about helping their clients, instead of taking away from their clients (sigh). Here's a suggestion; Get in touch with your local USDA office (www.usda.gov). I have seen grants that are available for struggling homeowners. I hope this information helps. Keep your chin up and push forward. Renee
